Simon Goodwin was at the center of attention as the Melbourne Demons were under evaluation after the team have missed the finals in 2020.
With this news made public, many thought that this decision would soon be the end of Simon Goodwin as a coach. Right now, the president of the Demons has come forward to back Simon.
Simon Goodwin is improving as a coach
Thus far, Kate Roffey has relayed that everything regarding the team has been reviewed. This includes changes that should be made for improvement. This situation is no different than any other.
As the team continues to seek improvement, so does Simon and this is what Kate Roffey has emphasized.
Previously, it was alleged that Simon Goodwin was being relieved of his duties due to behavioral issues. Another instance was bullying. This has been publicly denied recently.

“On behalf of the current board, I would like to make it incredibly clear that Simon, as the current reigning premiership coach and AFL coach of the year, is an exceptional leader of our football club,” Roffey said.
According to Roffey, Goodwin’s position as a coach has been reaffirmed. The re-evaluation of the team did not necessarily mean that Simon was being let go. But rather the program has been touched up.
