Australia beaches have been ranked and the top 10 revealed, with five of them in Queensland.
The world’s best beaches have been graded for 2017 by the good people at TripAdvor. The popular travel site uses its users’ reviews over the past 12 months, in quantity and quality, as a measure.
The best beach in the world is said to be Brazil’s Baia do Sancho, followed by Grace Bay in Turks & Caicos Islands (no, we’d never heard of the islands either and just had to look them up on Google maps – see here) and Eagle Beach in Aruba, as second and third respectively.
While Australia is well represented on the list, we had to wait till #17 to find our best beach – Whitehaven Beach on Whitsunday Island.
