You can cram a lot into two years in London. We’ll leave it to you to decide how to spend your spare time here (rest assured you won’t be short of options). But if you want an opportunity to develop your professional experience and credentials in a world-leading competition authority this could be the opportunity of a lifetime.
The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) works to promote competition for the benefit of consumers, both within and outside the UK. We came into being in April 2014 taking over many of the functions of the Competition Commission and the Office of Fair Trading. Our aim is to make markets work well for consumers, businesses and the economy.
We have a number of opportunities for litigation specialists to be part of our civil litigation team. These roles will suit individuals who are excited by the chance to take on responsibility and develop their skills in a hands-on environment. You’ll get involved in high profile cases, and you can expect a high proportion of these to go to trial.
We want to hear from candidates with solid expertise in litigation and practical experience in a High Court (or equivalent) setting. You should be a fully qualified lawyer and if not already entitled to practice in England or Wales, you should be willing to undertake the QLTT on appointment (funding support may be available).
In addition to a competitive salary the CMA also offers generous other benefits like an excellent Civil Service pension scheme, 31 and a half days annual leave, favourable consideration of flexible working options as well as generous maternity/paternity leave provision in excess of statutory requirements.
To find out more about these opportunities and about working for the CMA, please go to: www.cma-jobs.co.uk
Closing date for applications: 5th July 2015.
We are an equal opportunities employer.
