Anthony Albanese has thus far won the elections and has gained the title of Prime Minister. However, David Littleproud has wasted no time in comparing Anthony Albanese to Scott Morrison.
Previously, Scott Morrison gained plenty of criticism after he went on vacation in Hawai while the country was dealing with a horrific bush fire. Many found frustration in the fact that the former PM only came back after two firefighters died.
Thus far, Sydney residents have abandoned their homes in light of evacuation warnings. This comes as the threat of floods could begin to get much worse. To date, the government has set aside funds for flood-affected areas.
Now, while Anthony Albanese was and is out of the country for government purposes, David Littleproud wasted no time in calling Anthony no different than Scott Morrison. This comes as the floods have worsened while he is not present.
However, many have come to the defense of Anthony Albanese as they feel that the two situations differ entirely and are not in the least the same.
Thus far, Albanese himself has defended his international travel during the floods in Sydney. The Prime Minister shared that he hadn’t had a single day off and is not on a holiday.

“We can’t separate international events from their impact on Australia and Australians … I have not had a day off for a very long period of time,”
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Anthony Albanese has been out of the country since the 26th of June. Emergency Management Minister Murray Watt has also come to the defense of the Prime Minister adding that he left before the floods ensued.
“It would be ridiculous to criticize the Prime Minister for undertaking an overseas trip that began even before the floods were warned of, let alone began.”
