Australia at Eurovision: Teenager Isaiah through to grand final [WATCH]

Isaiah Firebrace has secured Australia a spot in the 2017 Eurovision grand final.

Singing ‘Don’t Come Easy’, the Indigenous Australian teenager overcame some nerves in the 1st semi-final to claim one of the 25 places in the annual competition’s big finale’ on Saturday night (European time).

The Eurovision song contest is held each year in the country that won the previous year; so this year in Ukraine.

This is the third year running that Australia has been invited to compete in the competition and the third year running that its contestant will feature in the grand final. Guy Sebastian represented Down Under in 2015 and Dami Im was runner-up in 2016.

17-year-old Isaiah was the winner of 2016’s Australian X-Factor talent TV show.
