Black Adam is a superhero film that most will find entertaining. That is through the fact that it is not based on the good guy morals DC lovers are generally used to.
Dwayne Johnson makes his superhero debut
Just like Joker, Black Adam also has his origin story told in the film and the similarities are quite the same. Well not in every way.
In the first trailer released by DCEU, Black Adam (Dwayne Johnson) narrates the story which gives an idea of who he was and why he does things in the way that he does.
By the first few seconds, we see that Black Adam is pretty much a Joker in a different form. So far, the hero does not exactly uphold his title as the latter but actually uses his powers for revenge.
So, like every bad guy, Black Adam also has his origin story, and this goes back to when his son sacrificed his life for him. We also learn that he was a slave and that he was reborn.
Black Adam goes on a quest for revenge
According to Boss Hunting, Adam takes on the same order that the Joker film did. That means the film centers much of the attention on the reborn character than on his antagonist. So we won’t see much of Shazam!

Now, this hero does not exactly help people or save anyone, he actually kills them which is a great contradiction to his hero status. After being reborn as a God, Black Adam carries with him the troubles of his past and brings it into the present.
When confronted by Hawking about what he is doing with his powers Adam couldn’t care less. In response to a jab that heroes don’t kill people, the hero simply responds “Well I do.”
So far, the film is set to be released on October 21st in 2022. Watch the trailer below.
