Inventing Anna: The accent is intentionally confusing for viewers

Inventing Anna is pretty much something like the Tinder Swindler. I know right, how many more scammers are there in this world, it’s literally too much.

Well, regardless, each of these stories has made it to people all over the world now. In this case, a film has been birthed as a result. Covering the life of an individual named Sorokin who scammed people out of money.

Inventing Anna is based on a con artist

Posing as a German heiress, Sorokin got over $200 000 dollars out of people. Now, Sorokin spent some time in prison. But, was later released on probation.

In the new film released on Thursday,  Julia Garner is seen portraying the con artist to the best of her ability. It is something quite confusing but worth the watch. According to ABC, Julia Garner has even gone as far as meeting Sorokin for some help on portraying her in Inventing Anna.

Practicing the voice of Sorokin

Now, Julia went above and beyond for her role. To get ready, Julia Garner has practiced her voice so much. She even started talking like Sorokin in her sleep. Her husband relayed that she said she didn’t take the bag in the confusing accent.

Quite frankly, the real Inventing Anna has approved of her accent and expresses that she did this very well. According to reports, Sorokin delved between European and German accents. This made it difficult for people to decipher what her accent really is.
