After the deal between Youtube TV and Disney had expired the two parties found it difficult to come up with a satisfactory agreement.
It’s been a while since Disney banned the channels such as ESPN, ABC, and other Disney-affiliated channels from being broadcast on the Google-owned platform.
During this outage, consumers who have been watching live content from the Disney-owned channels have lost all the recordings that they have saved to their playlist.
A 15 dollar credit has been added to Youtube TV users subcription
As an apology to those who have been inconvenienced during this dispute has been granted a $15 credit to their subscription.
The agreement between the two companies involved stemmed from a request to charge Youtube TV the same price charged by other platforms of the same size. Their older agreement had expired late on Friday and their new agreement was reached on Sunday.
A statement released by Disney on Sunday showed that that the platform had come to a favorable agreement with Youtube TV.
“We appreciate Google’s collaboration to reach fair terms that are consistent with the market,”
As many start to cancel their cable tv subscriptions through the large amount of money it costs, the streaming service is becoming more and more popular and a more cost-effective option to watching content.
