GLASTONBURY Festival 2013 kicked off on Thursday with thousands of fans descending on a field in Somerset for three days of multi-stage music, headlined by The Rolling Stones.
Nearly 120,000 flooded into the 900-acre site after gates opened early Wednesday, with the fields crowded with tents by late Thursday.
Despite predictions of warm weather and continuous sunshine the Glastonbury curse struck again and the first day was characterised by consistent rain, quickly turning the campsite into a muddy quagmire.
