Harry Styles has put his heart on paper as he had his new single bopping heads. As it Was is one of the first songs in the new album that Harry has released so far.
While only one single has been released so far, Harry is set to release Harry’s House on May 20th this year. With the first single already doing well, we can only imagine what the rest of the album will sound like.
In 2020, Harry was set to kick off his Love on Tour concert in Australia and New Zealand when Covid restrictions prohibited Harry Styles from performing.
This year though, Harry is set to headline Coachella this year. He will be debuting As it Was for the first time on a live stage.
As reported by Rolling Stone, the new single encapsulates a lot of emotional change. So, its kind of like what you would see in a diary. It’s truly personal and strips Harry Styles psychologically naked if you will.
Right now, Harry would be taking a different direction with his artistry. As this would be the first love song Harry would incorporate as the lead single.
If you haven’t seen the video yet, Harry Styles has taken an eighties-themed video to go with his latest work. The video has been directed by a Ukrainian and she described it as bittersweet.

While putting all their talents together to finish up the video, Ukraine faced an invasion by Russia which still continues to take place today.
So, the song can be looked at in two ways. One is accepting your new self and the other is the rollercoaster of a relationship. This is captured perfectly through Harry Styles and a woman going in circles in the video.
