iPod: The Apple device is set to be discontinued after stocks sell out

iPod has been part of the lives of many since 2001. At the time, listening to music on a small device that could conveniently be carried around everywhere was a complete hit.

The end of an era for the iPod

Compared to the times when people actually needed cassettes and CD players to listen to their music, the iPod was the most revolutionary device that gave a new medium for music to be listened to.

Now, with the digital world constantly evolving, Apple needed to make some informed decisions if not smart about the next steps in their merchandise.

Evolving with the digital age

To be frank, the iPod will not be of much use. There has since been multiple mediums to listen to music, including streaming them on Spotify.

Right now, it is quite a sad time. As it almost feels like the end of an era as the different colored device. It was able to store over 1000 songs and will no longer be able to purchase as the stocks run out.

In the past, it was quite a journey to upload your songs onto the Apple iPod, but it was completely worth it. As shared by Forbes, the new features such as the shuffle button gave users a choice to no longer listen to the same songs in the same order.

While the iPod was not the only device to use for music, it was by far the coolest and cutest device to carry around. So, this decision wasn’t exactly because the device wasn’t bringing in any money, it actually comes as listening to music in different ways has become more prevalent.
