Neighbors have been home for Australians for nearly four decades but the show will, unfortunately, come to an end in June 2022. Fans have since signed a petition in the hopes of having it continue again.
While fans have expressed their disappointment, the cast has seemed to come to terms with the termination of the show. The crew has taken to social media to relay that there have been tears but they will overall ensure that the last episodes will be the best.
According to The Guardian, Neighbors has kickstarted the careers of the now-international stars such as Margot Robbie and Liam Hemsworth. As reported by The Guardian, the show is said to have 1 million viewers for each episode.

The close of the show comes as Fremantle had failed to secure another network that will air the show. Channel five has since terminated its contract with Neighbors and resulting in the show being canceled. Most of the production costs had relied on the Channel 5 network.
In August, the last episodes will be aired until September 2022. The episodes are expected to include some of the previous actors when the show first aired. The cast members promised that the last episodes will be the best episodes before the show officially comes to an end.
