A kangaroo got stuck on the roof of a Melbourne home in Duchess street this week.
Melbourne residents were stunned to find a kangaroo on the roof of a home in Duchess street after noticing children laughing at the kangaroo on the roof.
The sighting of the herbivore was first spotted by children in the area who couldn’t help but laugh at the kangaroo on the roof of one of the homes in the area.
Visitors nearby wondered what the children were laughing at when they suddenly noticed the herbivore on the roof. The bystanders admit it was a very perplexing moment to see the kangaroo on the roof.
According to Mr. Buck from the fire brigade, residents were still scratching their heads trying to work out how the animal got onto the top of the roof in the first place.
The rescuers admit that they initially thought it was a prank when they first got the call that a kangaroo was spotted on the roof of a Melbourne home. Turns out, the poor thing hopped itself onto the roof of the home in which the rescuers attempted to help.
While the animal on the roof remains a mystery, bystanders were afraid that the large animal would jump off the roof and hurt its leg or anything else.
A bystander by the name of Paula Boon noted that the roads were fairly busy and worried that the animal might be scared off and jump into the busy road.
As the rescuers attended to the scene, Patrick Buck, a senior firefighter at Queensland Fire and Emergency services relayed that as soon as the team got to the roof with their equipment, “the kangaroo went to the end of the roof and jumped into some shrubs”
The kangaroo is safe and well at this time.
