Kanye West had been following local burger restaurant College Dropout for many months before the rapper eventually sought legal action against the restaurant owner.
College Dropout restaurant in hot water after using rapper’s material without permission
Thus far, the owner of College Dropout Mark Elkhouri named the restaurant after the rapper as an ode to the rapper’s debut album College Dropout. However, Mr. Elkhouri was a dropout himself.
While the restaurant was named after Kanye West, Mark shared that he himself was a College Dropout. Hence the name of the restaurant was fitting.
Months prior, Kanye West actually started following the restaurant. The restaurant situated in the suburb of Ivanhoe will remove any reference to Kanye. Back then, Mark surmised Kanye supported the restaurant.

However, College Dropout would soon face legal action from Kanye West as the restaurant used the rapper’s material without any permission from him. Thus far, the burger joint uses the logo from the rapper’s album and has dedicated some of the burgers to the rapper.
Right now, the restaurant has covered up the logo with a white paper that reads “Insert logo here. Okay, thanks bye.” The mural that was at the entrance of the restaurant has been painted over with white paint.

According to 7News, the College Dropout restaurant is a Kanye West-themed burger joint. With some burgers called “Zinger in Paris” as well as “Heartless”. The latter being tracks on some of the rapper’s albums.
To date, the College Dropout owner will now rename the burgers named after Kanye to other celebrities. However, the restaurant name will remain the same as the owner is a college dropout himself.
