Lebron James has reached quite the milestone this week as he has reached the billionaire status. So far, he will be the second NBA player in the history of sport to become a billionaire without retiring.
Previously, the former NBA legend, Michael Jordan only reached the billionaire status after retiring 11 years before. Thus far, Lebron has made history through this record.
In 2014, Lebron James shared in an interview that he would love to become a billionaire in the future. With some smart investments and a successful career, James was able to reach this milestone.

Thus far, the NBA player ranks second in league’s all-time best players for scoring the most. Lebron James has also been a four-time NBA MVP in his 19-year-long career.
Now, Lebron did not reach this billionaire status through his NBA career alone of course. According to ABC News, James earned at least $400 million playing for the LA Lakers, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Miami Heat.
To date, the two-time Olympic gold medal winner has made the smart decision to invest in multiple businesses which include Real Estate, Springhill Entertainment, and the Umbrella Group to name a few.
Right now, these businesses are believed to have brought in around $900 million in profit. Apart from investing in businesses, Lebron has also put significant effort into his community in Arizona.
