Naomi Judd and her daughter Wynonna Judd were inducted into the Country Music Hall of fame just days after her passing. Her daughter Ashley shared further details about the death of her mother.
Previously, the daughter’s of Naomi Judd shared that she had died as a result of mental illness. Recently, the public heard that Naomi died as a result of a self-inflicted wound.
“She used a weapon…my mother used a firearm,”
In an attempt to control the narrative, Ashley Judd shared that her family needed to tell the world themselves before the autopsy results came out.
“So that’s the piece of information that we are very uncomfortable sharing, but understand that we’re in a position that if we don’t say it someone else is going to.”

As the pandemic came around, many musicians were unable to any live performances which impacted the entertainment industry to a large extent. For Naomi Judd, this was no different.
Thus far, Naomi Judd has released her own book in which she details her struggles with mental health and how she emerged from it with hope.
In 2017, the singer was diagnosed with hepatitis and relayed that her mental health, as well as physical health, declined tremendously.

Recently, Ashley Judd got very candid about mental health in her interview with Diane Sawyer. She explained that her mother struggled with her mental health for a long time. She also detailed her last day with her mother as shared by Variety.
Mom said to me, ‘Will you stay with me?’ and I said, ‘Of course, I will.’…I went upstairs to let her know that her good friend was there and I discovered her.

After sharing this, Ashley shared that she has both “grief and trauma” discovering Naomi Judd.
