Rebel Wilson’s controversial BAFTA speech for racially ‘diverse members’ [VIDEO]

Rebel Wilson laid on a pitch perfect Aussie nervous-Nelly when she presented the award for Best Supporting Actor at the 2016 Baftas on Sunday in London.

Addressing the assembled glitterati of the British film industry and their guests at the “really serious event”, the Australian star lampooned the controversy over racial diversity clouding this year’s American awards equivalent, the Oscars. According to a delightfully deadpan Wilson, “as you know, they (the Oscars) are racists”.

But, she says, the Baftas have “diverse members, and that’s what we all want to see in life, isn’t it”.

She then confesses to actor Idris Elba who is seated in the audience, that he makes her nervous because: “I’m just sociologically programmed to want chocolate on Valentimes (sic) Day.”
