Science Says Smelling Cinnamon Can Bring Out The Creative In You

Cinnamon was used in a recent study to determine how creative individuals are. Two groups used were given different instructions and the results are pretty pleasing.

Using Cinnamon as Motivation

Ever wondered what helps bring out our creative juices? Well, this cinnamon study surely brings out the psychology in the process of being the best in any task we need to do.

One group was given a vial of cinnamon to smell and another was told that the cinnamon would increase the creativity. As a result, the second group performed much better than the other that only smelt the cinnamon.

Turns out, everything is all in the mind

So, let’s unpack what this all means. Since the control group performed in the way the control group should perform, what is the real magic in this experiment?

Well, to be exact, how we approach any task or a situation really depends on how we think the situation will unfold. I know, this science experiment doesn’t exactly sound science like but this experiment shows us that what we think can have a huge impact on how things can be completed.

If you’ve ever found yourself needing to complete a task that really seemed impossible, the only thing you really lack is the self-belief that you can do it.

It’s like listening to music to bring you feel-good energy to start off the day or make a good impression on someone. When you feel that you can get along with someone, you generally do.
