Sheryl Sandberg has decided that her role as Chief Operating Officer has come to end as she marks 14 years working at Meta.
Thus far, Sheryl Sandberg has played a pivotal role in where Meta is today. This marks just one year after the Facebook company decided to rebrand to Meta.
To date, the company has taken the step to evolve in the belief that the world is moving towards a much more virtual reality world.
So far, Sheryl has worked with her co-founder Mark Zuckerberg for more than 14 years since the company first launched. Initially, the company had around 40 million users worldwide. The number has evidently increased till today.
Right now, Sheryl Sandberg shared that she does not know where she will go next with her career but she did explain that she will be focussing on her foundation.
“Fourteen years later, it is time for me to write the next chapter of my life,” Sandberg said. “I am not entirely sure what the future will bring – I have learned no one ever is.”
According to South China Morning Post, Javier Olivan will be taking over as Chief Operating Officer from Sheryl Sandberg when she officially stands down from the position in the Autumn season.

For Mark Zuckerberg, this partnership has meant that Sheryl handles the things that he wouldn’t want to. She has also played a big role in the advertising department for the now Metaverse company.
Now, while Sandberg will be stepping down from her role at Meta, the key figure in the growth of Facebook will still be a board member.
