This amazing video was taken on Thursday last week off the shores of San Diego, USA – a favoured hunting ground for majestic Orcas.
In it, the whales follow the boat; variously swimming along side the craft and even surfing in its wake. Orcas are highly intelligent and beautiful creatures, but they do have a dark side. Known as the ‘wolves of the sea’, they don’t call them killer whales for nothing.
They get very close to these fishermen’s boat indeed. Are these orcas being playful, curious or something else?
