One of Australia’s most beautiful reptiles took the easy route, hitching a ride from Adelaide to visit some friends in the Outback.
This highly venomous Red-Bellied Black Snake poked it’s head out from under the bonnet to take a look around, terrifying the driver.
But what else do you do, but just keep on driving while videoing the stowaway.
“Driving from Adelaide to Mundoo Island Station, 100km/h, with an hour still to drive, a snake popped up in front of me from under my bonnet,” the driver posted on Facebook along with the video.
“It scared the living daylights out of me!
“He stayed with us all the way and could not be coaxed out of the engine well.
“I have left my car in the middle of a paddock and hope that he finds his way out tonight.
“He is a big red-bellied black snake.
“Petrified would sum up my nervous state for the hour I had to drive.
“I was hopeful that new cars don’t have any gaps that a snake could move from the engine well into the internal section of the car!”
We think he’s adorable. Just don’t let it bite you… you might die.
