A relative can be a child, parent, brother, sister, grandparent, grandchild, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, or a step relative of the same degree.
Remaining Relative (Permanent) visa (subclass 835 for onshore; 115 for offshore)
This visa is for people who are the brothers, sisters or children (or step-relative of the same degree) of a person in Australia who is their only near relative.
Aged Dependent Relative (Permanent) visa (subclass 838 for onshore; 114 for offshore)
This visa is for aged persons who are single, widowed or divorced and financially dependent on a relative in Australia;
Carer (Permanent) visa (subclass 836 for onshore; 116 for offshore)
This visa is for people who are needed to provide substantial and continual assistance for an Australian relative or a member of their family, who has a medical condition causing physical, intellectual or sensory impairment;
New Zealand Citizen Family Relationship (Temporary) visa (subclass 461)
This visa is for non-New Zealand citizens to travel to and live in Australia with a New Zealand citizen family member who is a special category visa holder.
