One person is dead and five others injured after a truck exploded in Melbourne.
The truck, loaded with gas bottles, was reportedly being driven by a man in his 20s who tragically died in the accident in the inner-west suburb of Footscray
According to Fairfax, police believe the blast occurred before the truck crashed in to five cars.
“It’s one vehicle that the explosion has occurred in,” Acting Inspector Nigel L’Estrange said.
Wreckage from the blast lay strewn across the street and nearby houses had their windows blown out while one building’s roof had collapsed.
One of the injured was flown to hospital.
