Ghislaine Maxwell has previously tried to postpone her sentencing due to feeling safe in her prison cell. She has since been moved to a solitary holding due to this.
Right now, Ghislaine Maxwell was hoping that she could less than a 20-year sentence for assisting sex offender Jeffrey Epstein take advantage of young girls. The then-girlfriend of Epstein groomed young girls to commit sexual acts with Epstein.
Previously, prosecutors believed that Ghislaine Maxwell deserved nothing less than 20 years. Prosecutors shared that Maxwell needed to receive between 20 to 40 years of prison sentence.
Thus far, over 60 victims have received justice for the crimes Jeffrey Epstein has committed. The sex offender committed suicide in his holding cell in 2019 a few days before his sentencing.
So far, lawyer Brad Edwards shared that all the victims of Jeffrey Epstein has received justice and that no one is above the law.
“I think our system works. It took a long, long time — longer than we wanted it to,”
Outside of the court, some of the victims have shared their thoughts on the sentence and many have shared some positive feelings about the sentence. One of the victims who went by the pseudonym Kate shared that Ghislaine didn’t apologize to the victims.

So far, Ghislaine Maxwell shared that being associated with Jeffrey Epstein is her “biggest regret”. According to 7News, this trial was one of the biggest cases and high-profile ones in the world.
