Ghislaine Maxwell was sentenced back in December 2021 for helping her then-boyfriend Jeffrey Epstein sexually abusing underaged girls. So far, Ghislaine is hoping that she gets less than 20 years in her prison sentence.
Right now, Ghislaine Maxwell will be moved from her previous holding cell amid reports that her safety has been threatened. Ghislaine has since requested to delay her sentencing. But, this has been denied as prosecutors believe she is able to get enough sleep and has her court documents.
Thus far, prosecutors believe that Ghislaine Maxwell should receive no less than 30 to 50 years in prison for her convicted sex crimes.
Previously, prosecutors shared that Ghislaine groomed young girls. Right before his sentencing, Epstein committed suicide in his holding cell in 2019.
To date, Ghislaine does not feel that she deserves more than 20 years. Thus far, Maxwell wants her sentencing to be delayed but prosectors feel there is no need for this.
According to ABC News, Ghislaine Maxwell will be sentenced on Tuesday. Until then, she will be on suicide watch as authorities believe she seeks solitary confinement in order to harm herself.
Thus far, Ghislaine refused to elaborate on why she fears for her safety. Due to inconsistent reports about her safety, authorities decided to put her on suicide watch.
