The flooding in Britain has claimed this beautiful 400-year-old bridge in North Yorkshire.
The eastern side of the bridge in Tadcaster dramatically collapsed into the River Wharfe on Tuesday as rain continued to pound the flood affected areas of northern England.
The bridge had been closed for two days with shops and houses in Tadcaster already severely affected by flooding.
Some nearby residents were also evacuated as a nearby gas pipe was reported to have ruptured
Further misery was expected for England’s north and southern Scotland over Tuesday night as Storm Frank lashed the region.
