John Sidoti is currently encouraged by Dominic Perrotett to stand down from parliament following corrupt conduct allegations.
MP John Sidoti encouraged to step down from parliament
Right now, Prime Minister Dominic Perrotett believes that John Sidoti abused his power so that he and his family could benefit from property investments.
“This position suited his family’s property interests but was inconsistent with the desire of the Five Dock Chamber of Commerce,”
As shared by News.com, John Sidoti allegedly persuaded and consistently met with Counselors about a town center property development.
To date, John Sidoti allegedly abused his rank. This comes as he pleaded with council to rethink their development plan. Which was the Five Dock town center.
Sidoti aims to fight the issue in Supreme Court
Thus far, Perrotett is under the impression that Sidoti encouraged plans that were not at all the vision of the council back in 2013. Two years later, his family members purchased two buildings. One in front and one at the back of the Five Dock town center.
Earlier today, Perrottet shared that he has asked John Sidoti to step down from parliament given the current investigation that is underway. He previously stated that he would move a motion to have Sidoti suspended from parliament if he refused.
“The New South Wales government has also sought legal advice in relation to this matter.”

Right now, it’s evident that John has no plans to step down from his position. To date, he has also denied any wrongdoing, vowing to prove his innocence.
So far, Sidoti has been found corrupt by the ICAC. But Sidoti is adamant that he will “clear his name”
“I’m going to fight this.”
