Katherine Deves has been under scrutiny for some of her social media comments made about transgender sportswomen.

Thus far, the police did not acknowledge any reports of death threats made to them. Katherine sought safety and fled Sydney to an unknown location.
In her interview with SBS, Katherine Deves shared that she feared for her family’s safety and has taken them out of harm’s way following her controversial comments made on Twitter.
“My family are out of Sydney because I don’t want them to witness what I am going through and nor do I want their safety put at risk.”

Right now, Katherine said that she’s aware of her comments made on Twitter. She has since deleted her Tweets which have offended many.
Elections to take place in the coming weeks
With the upcoming elections taking place, Katherine’s old comments have resurfaced again although it has been deleted.
Recently, at the leader’s debate, Prime Minister Scott Morrison has defended the candidate profusely. The matter of freedom of speech was discussed and audience members made a point of asking him about her.
According to The Guardian, the Australian Federal Police has not acknowledged any complaints about death threats made to Katherine Deves.

In her recent interview, Katherine shared that she needed to get the police involved. She also shared that her safety was at risk by remaining in Sydney.
