Well, why not do Future Day in some style? That’s NSW Premier Mike Baird’s motto today.
Mr Baird proved his pop culture credentials this morning by arriving for a radio interview in Sydney in a classic DeLorean car which was kitted out like the Back to the Future time machine.
Today of course is 21 October 2015, the ‘future day’ Marty McFly and Doc Brown travel to in the cult film Back to the Future II.

The ever more social media savvy NSW state boss posted a video on Twitter of himself arriving in the iconic car, with the comment: “Great Scott!! Turns out we still need roads”.

In the clip, Baird hams it up when he gets out of the vehicle, declaring: “I’ve just seen the future for NSW, and it’s fantastic”.
Let’s just hope that a politician referencing Back to the Future for a PR stunt hasn’t created a time paradox, the result of which could cause a chain reaction that would unravel the very fabric of the space-time continuum and destroy the entire universe!
