Optus has experienced an unexpected outage throughout the morning on Tuesday with some customers expressing extreme frustration.
Thus far, the internet has restored its internet services with its users being able to access voice and text services again.
During the outage at Optus, Telstra lent a helping hand. That is, restoring the connection. This caused some confusion among Tresla users who thought that their internet services were faulty.
Telstra did reportedly was assisting Optus in restoring their internet connection again. The network is yet to reveal what caused the outage.
As reported by Daily Mail, the outage was being investigated. It is not quite clear why the outage happened at Optus. Users were clearly not impressed with some sharing that they will cancel their contract.
So far, Optus has blocked all comments from their Facebook page, simply stating that they are aware of the problem and are attending to it.
“We sincerely apologize to our customers for any inconvenience and thank them for their patience while affected services were restored,”

While the outage was prominent on Tuesday morning, it has been restored late this afternoon. Some users have shared their dire need to be in contact with others following the outage.
‘My father was taken to hospital this morning with chest pain and vomiting. I have been trying to call my brother and others but keep getting a message ‘the mobile no you have called is no longer connected’. Do better please.’

Right now, some other users have shared that restarting their phones did the trick in restoring their Optus connection again. In other news, some have reported having disrupted work meetings as well as missing out on important family updates.
