As of today, Queensland records no new covid cases and the Health Minister intends to keep it that way.
At this time, health care workers are put under pressure to get fully vaccinated.
Up until today, almost 2000 health care workers are not vaccinated and this is a cause of concern.
Dr. Yvette explains that people could contract the virus at hospitals if staff continues to ignore vaccination pleas.
While health care workers do not get vaccinated, they make themselves and others at risk for suffering from the virus and some might not make it.
Everyone, including health care workers, are expected to be fully vaccinated by mid-December. For this to pan out in this way, individuals would need to get vaccinated by this week.
No more begging says Queensland Health Minister
Dr. Yvette further relays that the time for asking is over and that she is now demanding people get vaccinated.
Health care workers who do not comply with this rule will be asked to take leave. In cases where an exemption has been provided, health care workers will be moved to a position that does not require contact with patients.
Queensland only recorded one coronavirus case but whether rules were broken is uncertain.
The state currently has a seventy-five percent fully vaccination recorded and sixty-two percent half vaccinated patients.
