ALP Abroad are encouraging all Victorians in London to cast their vote in the upcoming state elections.
“A Victorian Labor government will put the interests of people first on health and education, in contrast to the Abbott Liberal government’s cuts to education and undermining of Medicare,” Paul Smith, President of ALP Abroad told Australian Times.
“Victorians in London have the opportunity to vote for a state government they can be proud of that will stand up to the Abbott Federal government,” he said.
According to ALP Abroad, Victorians in London can vote in two ways:
1)If you are in London, pre-polling facilities will be available at Victoria House, Australia Centre, Corner Melbourne Place & Strand London WC2B 4LG in Australian House on weekdays between until 28th November from 9am to 5pm. Polling facilities won’t be open on 29 November
2) By post. Postal votes to be sent to you to an address overseas. Postal vote application forms must be received by Victorian Electoral Commission before 5pm (Vic time Thursday 27th November and be mailed back by election day, so timing on this is tight.
