Severe rain and thunderstorm weather changes are set to hit South East Australia this week. Following the change in the cooling of the pacific ocean, colder days are expected.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology, the chances of Lanina forming have increased to around 70%.
In conjunction with the above, the Bureau relayed that when and if these colder fronts do occur, a wet spring and summer can be expected.
While the Lanina stage has not been hit yet, changes will be closely monitored.
At present, no other weather warnings have been given yet.
“As the low deepens and taps into tropical moisture on Wednesday, a band of showers and thunderstorms, possibly severe with heavy rain and damaging winds will develop over Victoria”
Following the announcement of weather change, social media users are not happy about the change or its possible effects.
To date, showers, possible hail, and gusty winds are expected in South Australia and Victoria on Thursday.
Although no severe warnings have been issued yet, rain and storms are set to continue through Friday.
So, summer plans might be put on hold a little bit as the weather forecasts seem to be uncertain at this point but, there is no harm in continuing to make them.
