Barcelona has clearly not been having the best season as they now have to work extremely hard to secure a spot on the UEFA Champion’s League this year. This comes as the team has not been fairing very well thus far.
In each competition, Barcelona has made it to the final four, four times but lost in each game by one goal. If the team steps it up this time, they might have a chance at playing in the Champion’s League.
Now, perhaps management is the real problem as the results under Xavi have been proven to be promising and a little different from what we have seen before. Would Barcelona be able to score fourth place in Laliga?
If the team makes it to fourth place, a spot in the Champions League will be promising. According to Sporting News, this would be Barcelona’s first time not playing in the Champions League knockout stages since 2003-2004.
Barcelona has never made the second-tier in both the UEFA and Champion’s League competitions. They were, however, UEFA semi-finalists on four occasions. Right now, predictions on who will win the Europa League is a bit difficult as the teams either haven’t been consistent or have been stagnant, but it shouldn’t stop you from trying your luck at one of the UK’s best betting sites.
