Things are looking good for the Socceroos at this time as it seems the players have their heads in the game.
After a match that led to a 0-0 draw with Saudi Arabia, the team is looking good amongst its competitors.
At this time, the team is fighting hard in order to be a part of the world cup. One wrong move and they’ll be back at the bottom.
Even after the team drew against Saudi Arabia, Graham Arnold said the team is in a great position still.
Currently, Australia has 10 points from its five games in this third phase of qualifying so far – three points behind Saudi Arabia and one ahead of Japan.
“It’s all about one game at a time and making sure we’re ready for the next game”
However, with Harry Soutar being injured, one can only hope it is not as serious as we fear it is as this would be a major blow to Australia.
Now, some of the Socceroos’ mistakes lie in the frustration of not performing at their best ability which has evidently taken a toll on where the team is currently at.
The only thing the team needs to do at this point is to maintain their focus as any slip-ups could cost them a shot at making the fifth-straight world cup finals.
