5 Film locations you wish you could escape to right now

Sometimes when you are binge watching movies or watching your favourite movie over and over again, you wouldn’t mind going to that scenic and beautiful place in front of you and stay there for a while. While some of the places in movies are made up, dreaming about those places is still worthwhile.

Watching the following movies and wishing the television can suck you in and transfer you to that location is something I wish upon. I’m definitely guilty of watching these five films over and over again just because of their locations.

The Holiday

That little cottage named Rosehill Cottage in the English countryside was in fact not the real deal, but hell it looks nice! Snuggling up at the fireplace with a glass of wine seems idyllic for those who want a nice little breakaway. Here’s the ad which Amanda (Cameron Diaz) found on the internet about the cottage:

This looks like heaven!

Forgetting Sarah Marshall

The location is mainly set in the one and only, Hawaii, more specifically Turtle Bay Resort on Oahu. There are beaches, waves, cocktails and Hawaiian luaus….this place is paradise, and the movie is really funny!

Christmas with the Kranks

Attention Christmas lovers: This is a nice family movie which features a lot of Christmassy things we all love. The film was filmed in a setting near a suburb in Chicago. In the setting you can see a lot of Christmas trees with lights and snow, mixed with a movie full of humour. It is a sure thing to put you in the Christmas spirit. If you don’t like this Christmas movie, there are a whole bunch of others you can choose from.

Mamma Mia!

The film, an adaption of the Broadway musical based on Abba songs, was filmed on the Greek Islands and it surely takes your breath away. A week in Greece can sure do some good, don’t you think?

Midnight in Paris

The movie set in the French capital of the world shows the beauty which Paris beholds. With the cities romance, art and history it would be a dream come true to go to.
