The ship sat off Sydney Heads on Tuesday, unable to enter the harbour, possibly waiting up to 48 hours before being able to dock.
Intense, cyclonic weather smashed into Sydney, the Central Coast and Hunter region this week. At least three people have been killed and over 200,000 homes were reported to be without power.
